All arrangements have been made at Gangadevipalli, a model village located about 16 km away from here in view of the chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao’ visit to formally launch Grama Jyothi programme on Monday.
According to official sources, KCR will arrive at the village around 11 am and participate in Haritha Haaram programme before launching Grama Jyothi aimed at transforming villages in the state.
Later, he will address Grama Sabha at the village and leave for Rampur and Medipally villages in Nallabelli mandal to participate in Grama Jyothi programmes there.
The CM is expected to stay at the former minister V Lakshmikantha Rao’s residence in the city on Monday night.
He will visit Waddepally tank in the city and plant saplings on the next day.
He inspects the site as the government is planning to develop it as a mini tank bund to provide lung space for the city dwellers.
Later, he will inaugurate Regional Science Centre (REC) on Hunter Road in the city and also pay a visit to Warangal fort. The government is also making plans for the development of the historic fort and surrounding areas.
As part of his tour, the CM is also going to inaugurate the statue of Prof K Jayashankar at Deshaipet in the city limits and also lay foundation for the construction of a vegetable market and Shadi Khana. He is also scheduled to address a public meeting there.
He will felicitate Yashoda Hospitals’ head for contribution of `50 lakh towards village development.
Meanwhile, deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari, district collector Vakati Karuna, GWMC commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmad visited Waddepally tank and other places in the city in view of the CM’s visit.
