Continuing his efforts to attract big-time investors to Telangana, chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao showcased his government’s progressive industrial policy, the single window system and hassle free clearances before a delegation of industrialists in Hong Kong Tuesday.
On the penultimate day of his China tour, Rao participated in a seminar on ‘Business Opportunities for Hong Kong Companies in the State of Telangana’ held at a hotel in Hong Kong. “The chief minister explained our industrial policy, the single window system, hassle-free clearances and timely approvals,” an official release said.
Prashant Agrawal, Consul General of India in Hong Kong welcomed the participants. A five minute documentary on Telangana State was exhibited for the participants.
Industries secretary Arvind Kumar made a presentation on the business opportunities in Telangana and the plus points of the new industrial policy. There was a question and answer session as part of the seminar. Concluding remarks were given by Arunachalam, Chairman of Indian Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong.
After conclusion of the seminar, Rao and Consul General had lunch with participants. Rao reached Hong Kong from Shenzhen on Monday evening as part of his China visit.
After the seminar, The delegation led by Rao and Consul General of Hong Kong visited the place of Big Buddha generally known as Tian Tan Buddha and proceeded to the Peak which is famous for the 112 feet tall statue of Buddha. The site is located at Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, a major centre of Buddhism in Hong Kong.
KCR to return Today
Completing his 10-day tour of China to attract investments, chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his team of officials will return to Hyderabad on Wednesday night. Rao and his delegation will leave Hong Kong on Wednesday afternoon and will reach Hyderabad by evening.
