KCR Explains Industrial Policy to ISB Students

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said ‘ease of business’ will become a reality in Telangana once the State Industrial Policy is formally launched on June 12.

Interacting with a team of 56 working executives from various corporates at the Indian School of Business here Friday, Rao expressed confidence that the Industrial Policy will bring in investments to the State. He explained to them the gist of the policy, giving details in brief regarding the single window without grills, online application system, chasing cell in the CMO, processing time of 10-12 days, the CM himself handing over the package of permissions, hassle-free and corruption-free mechanism and others. Rao also mentioned the availability of a land bank of one lakh seventy acres for industries.

Rao also explained how after formation of the state and after forming the government, he and his team of ministers and officers worked hard and seriously engaged in finding ways and means to develop the state. “It was very difficult in the beginning,” Rao said.

According to him, after a series of brainstorming sessions and after going through 1000-odd reports as well as studying policies of several countries, his government has prepared the best of the industrial policies. He said he personally visited Singapore and Malaysia to study and understand their industrial polices. The executives, who are studying MBA at the ISB, included entrepreneurs, budding entrepreneurs, bureaucrats, and doctors .

Rao said the state was not only budget surplus but would also soon become power surplus. “By the end of this year, the power production will reach 7000 MW and by the end of 2018, it would reach 25, 000 MW,” he said. Rao requested the participants to publicise the State Industrial Policy and felt it would help develop Telangana in particular and the country in general.
