Nizamabad MP K Kavitha appealed to Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to release Godavari waters to Telangana state, which is experiencing adverse seasonal conditions.
Kavitha called on Fadnavis on Tuesday in Mumbai as part of her bid to resolve the inter-state disputes between Telangana and Maharashtra.
She also urged his support for construction of checkdams across Manjeera river for raising the ground-water levels in both states besides requesting support for speedy completion of Lendi project.
The Nizamabad MP also took up the issue of development of connectivity between Madnoor and Bodhan by completing Sangi bridge at Deglore at the earliest.
