Appreciating the efforts of officials and local leaders, Mr KTR said the Kakatiya festival reflected the 700 years old Telangana culture and traditions. He lauded minister Mr Srinivas Goud and government chief whip D Vinay Bhaskar for making a grand success in his Twitter message on Friday.
The festival began on June 7 and will last till June 13. Makeshift stages were arranged along the road where dances, cultural events, and spiritual discourses were being held. All the monuments were beautifully lit for the event.
On the first day, the 22nd descendent of Kakatitya rulers Mr Kumar Chandra Bhanjdeo visited the Warangal city and went around escorted by officials and local leaders.
