Senior journalist Shankar was brutally attacked today night by unidentified assailants. Shankar was severely beaten by the attackers and has been admitted to Kamineni Hospital, LB Nagar.
Shankar, who runs the Newline Telugu YouTube channel and Telanganam e-Paper, has been critical of the governance of the Congress party. He questioned the Revanth Reddy government on their failed and delayed promises.
This dastardly act is an attack on democracy. It’s not even three months since the Congress party came into power in Telangana and is already a second major attack on journalists.
