Grand arrangements are being made for Telangana Jagruthi International Youth Leadership Conference (TJIYLC) scheduled to be held at HICC Novotel Convention Centre from January 18 and 20. The theme for TJIYLC 2019 is “Mahatma Gandhi’s Path to Sustainability and Innovation”.
More than 550 delegates from 135 countries will be participating in the conference which focuses on United Nation- Sustainable Development Goals. Over 70 speakers from 16 countries and 40 special invitees will be part of the event.
Telangana Jagruthi founder president and MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Thursday inspected the arrangements.
SAARC former Secretary General Arjun Bahadur Tapa will be the special guest for the programme.
The conference will commence with the address of Anna Hazare on ‘Gandhian path to sustainability, India’s unique role in sustainable development and why youth is key to attain sustainable development goals’ on Saturday.
This will be followed by a session by noted journalist Shekhar Gupta, who will moderate a panel that focuses on ‘what have policymakers done for youth development in India?’ Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi and Assam MP Gaurav Gogoi will be participating as panelists.
The conference will conclude with a panel discussion on ‘women leadership and sustainable development’ on January 20, 2019.
Governor ESL Narasimhan will be the chief guest for the programs on concluding the ceremony.
