Telangana IT and Industries minister Mr KTR termed it shameless as Mr Modi remained silent over the long pending demand for a steel factory at Bayyaram in Mahabubabad district.
As per the state reorganisation bill it was decided to supply coal to the plant from Bailadila in Chhattisgarh but now the coal blocks were allotted to Modi’s friend Adani.
The Modi government on the pretext of the Posco company was allocated to the Adani group, which was exposed by state mineral development corporation Chairman Mr Krishank Manne.
The minister wondered why the Modi government remained silent and appreciated Mr Krishank for exposing the issue. It may be noted that the central government said the steel plant was not feasible at Bayyaram and successfully dashed the hopes of the people of Telangana.
It was part of a state reorganisation bill promise and CM KCR pursued it hoping that the proposed steel plant would bring development to the region and offer jobs to the local youth. But BJP government once again ditched the Telangana state
