There are many benefits from the International Arbitration and Mediation Centre (IAMC), observed IT minister KTR.
Addressing at a `fireside chat’, he said the IAMC is not only useful for common people but helps greatly the corporate companies. It helps reduce litigation, saves time and money besides offers an immediate solution. This would result in encouraging more companies to come forward to set up their units in the city.
He said it was the efforts of former CJI Mr N V Ramana, the centre was set up in Hyderabad.
Since Hyderabad had become a haven for investments and a sought-after place for many companies. The IAMC centre in the city helps them greatly.
Mr Rama Rao opined that the IAMC centre should conduct awareness meetings with the stakeholders about the way the centre functions and helps in solving the litigation. How it helps the litigants and benefit them?
He especially thanked chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for providing all the infrastructure needed for setting up the centre and his keen interest in making Hyderabad the best city.
The minister said with the initiative of the state government more IT companies are being set up in Tier II cities and it is important to note that the investors and owners also have their rights and the Centre should protect them. He hoped that the IAMC would play a greater role.
