The Telangana state capital Hyderabad city has secured second place in the provision of employment opportunities after Kolkota beating all other metro cities in the country.
The popular job portal Naukri.com in its study for the year 2021-2022 said Hyderabad employed a total of 27 percent while Kolkata stood with a 42 percent employment rate. Mumbai has 25 percent. Next on the list came Chennai with 24 percent, Pune with 23 percent. In Delhi the employment rate came down by over 15 percent, the portal said in its study of the Naukri Job Speak Index.
The second rung cities are listed as Coimbatore with 29 percent achieving 12 percent growth. The job opportunities in Chandigarh, Vadodara, and Jaipur came down considerably.
Naukri.com chief business officer Pavan Goyal said the Corona pandemic affected the most and now the job opportunities in the transport and services sector are growing. More job opportunities would come soon, he observed.
