Huzurabad – Fact file and final arrangements for by -poll

The Huzurabad constituency that is going for polling on October 30 has a total voters of 2,37,036 of which male voters are 1,17,933 and female voters are 1,19,102, one transgender, 14 NRIs and 149 service voters and 8,248 differently abled voters.

For aged, differently abled and covid patients, the authorities offered postal ballot chance for them. The polling will be held from 7 am to 7 pm on October 30 and counting of votes will take place on November 2.

The election authorities are setting up 306 polling stations and there are 47 polling centres where there are more than 1,000 votes.

A meeting was held by the state election commissioner Shashank Goel with the district collectors and police commissioners of Warangal and Karimnagar districts in whose jurisdiction the constituency is spread over. A total of 20 companies of para military forces were deployed to ensure free and peaceful polling.

So far the police personnel seized cash of about Rs 3.50 crore, 1,091 litres of liquor worth over Rs 7 lakh, 11.4 kg ganja worth Rs 69,750 and sarees and shirts meant for distribution among the voters.

The police also bound over 2,284 persons who are expected to create trouble as a precautionary measure.
