Paying rich tributes to Telangana idealogue Prof Jayashankar, TRS supremo KCR said that we would definitely achieve our state if we follow the footsteps of our beloved professor.
KCR reiterated that he has clear indications that the centre would make a postive statement on Telangana as soon as Vice-President elections are completed. He said that UPA leaders are in constant touch with him over the statehood issue.
KCR recounted how Jayashanakr sir used to travel hundreds of kilometers to address a small gathering of committed Telangana activists. He also shared the several interaction he had with Prof Jayashankar.
“We are very fortunate to have seen one such great personality in our life time” remarked KCR. He was speaking at Prof Jayashanakr sir’s memorial meet organized by Telangana Lecturers Forum.
KCR also paid floral tributes to the professor at a separate program organized by TRS at Telangana Bhavan.
Osmania University students paid their tributes at a program organized in the campus.
Several meetings were held in all 10 districts of Telangana to mark the 78th birthday of late Prof Jayashankar.
