The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) will accord layout and building approval for industrial/manufacturing units within 15 days. This is an addition to the state government’s assurance to accord approval for mega projects within 15 days.
The state government issued orders on Wednesday explaining the rules of the Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System.
Similarly, the process for conversion of land usage shall be simplified by HMDA for lands to see that conversion is granted within two weeks in such cases. HMDA will develop online processing of such cases at the earliest, if not in place, and also provide a link to its online facility with TS-iPASS site so that such applications are transferred and processed online automatically.
The rules also said that the officer, who is responsible for sanctioning permission for any industry will be levied a penalty of up to `25,000.
The prospecting industrialist seeking information on the reasons for delay in approvals shall make a request in writing/online to the nodal agency. The nodal agency will seek a report from the department concerned within 2 working days. The department concerned will either process immediately or furnish proper reason for delay within the next 5 working days. If the department concerned failed to give a decision within 5 days, the officer concerned shall be levied a penalty.
The state government also constituted a committee for TS-iPASS with industries secretary as its chairman.
