The Haleem making contest held in Hyderabad’s old city showcased not just the culinary skills of local youth, but also stood testimony to the communal harmony of Hyderabad.
The contest titled “Kisme Kitna Hain Dum” was held at Shah Ali Banda. Each team consisted of a Hindu and a Muslim youngster.
First prize of Rs. 10,000 was won by Raju and Matin while Akash and Mastan won the second prize worth Rs. 5000.
The contest was sponsored by Pista House – the renowned Haleem maker, which has now become an international brand . Local MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan gave away the prizes to the winners.
