Health Minister Ch Laxma Reddy said that the government is committed to improving the healthcare system in rural areas for the benefit of the poor.
He laid foundation stone for the construction of a 100-bed hospital at Bhupalpally town and a 50-bed hospital at Chityal mandal in the Bhupalpally Assembly constituency on Sunday.
This constituency is represented by Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary. Speaking on the occasion, the Health Minister said that they would take steps to complete the construction of the Bhupalpally Hospital on a war-footing for the benefit of the locals who are living in far off places from the district headquarters Warangal.
While the 100-bed hospital at Bhupalpally mandal headquarters is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 23.50 crore, the 50-bed hospital at Chityal is being constructed with Rs 9.50 crore. The minister called upon the people to participate in the Mission Kakatiya programme putting their political affiliations aside to make it a grand success.
Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for sanctioning the hospitals, Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary said that the poor would be benefited a lot with the construction of these hospitals in the district. He also said that a central lighting system is being set up at a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh and modernisation of electrical lines with Rs 2 crore in Bhupalpally town.
