Govt. will strengthen law and order, says Etela

The State government is according top priority to maintenance of law and order for all round development of the State.

Accordingly, the government was taking all measures for strengthening of the Police Department, said Etela Rajender, Minister for Finance and Civil Supplies. The Minister formally launched the fleet of 70 vehicles (Bolero) sanctioned to the Karimnagar district police at the Police parade grounds in Karimnagar on Tuesday along with Zilla Parishad chairperson Tula Uma, Peddapalli MP Balka Suman, legislators Gangula Kamalakar, V Satish Kumar, D Manohar Reddy, S Satyanarayana, Bodega Shoba, Mayor S Ravinder Singh, Collector Neetu Kumari Prasad and others.

The Minister along with Superintendent of Police V Shiva Kumar also drove the vehicle.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that they would strengthen the police stations with modern equipment and well trained personnel for the benefit of society.

He said that the government had announced sanction of Rs. 25,000 for rural police stations and Rs. 50,000 for urban police stations as maintenance charges per month. Superintendent of Police V Shiva Kumar said that all new vehicles would be fitted with GPRS and their movement would be tracked in the district.

He also thanked the district leaders for the upgradation of Traffic police station and sanction of Thimmapur circle police

Khammam: The State government has allotted as many as 58 Tata Sumo vehicles for police stations and different wings of the Police Department in the district.

According to sources, the new vehicles have been allocated to the district for enhancing the mobility of police personnel thereby enabling them discharge their designated law and order duties promptly and effectively.

The new vehicles have been kept ready at the police parade grounds in the town for allotment to the police stations in the district.

The new vehicles are likely to be handed over to the police officials concerned of the seven police sub-divisions in the district on Wednesday.
