Gandipalli Reservoir will be Completed in 2 Years: KCR

Participating in a Grama Jyothi meeting at Chinnamulkanoor in the district on Monday, chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao urged the villagers to transform the hamlet into an ideal village within two years.

He exhorted the villagers to overcome all odds with courage, perseverance and teamwork. The chief minister said that Rs 1.08 crore will be sanctioned as promised for the development of the village.

KCR said that the government is committed to complete Gandipalli reservoir project within two years. Once the project is completed, irrigation across Husnabad will be improved and drinking water facility would be available to each household, he said.

Two bedroom houses will be constructed for the poor in the village. If there is no land available, the government will purchase land from private persons, he said.

The chief minister asked the collector to make arrangements for a study tour of Ankapur in Nizamabad to see how they achieved economic empowerment with cultivation of commercial crops.

Earlier, Gangadevipalli sarpanch Rajamouli spoke about their village development initiatives. Government employees donated Rs 1 lakh and Raja Goud of the village donated `50,000, while Dattaya Sharma donated 4 guntas of land.
