Foxconn reaffirms its commitment to set up manufacturing plant in Telangana

Foxconn Group chairman Young Liu wrote a letter to the Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao stating that they will be setting up their electronics manufacturing unit at Kongara Kalan in Ranga Reddy district.

He said they were ready to start their operations at the earliest and asked the Telangana government to facilitate them. Liu expressed his happiness at the hospitality extended by the state government to him and his team during their visit to Hyderabad last week. He said he was heartened at the personally signed greeting card given by KCR to him on his birthday.

Mr KCR’s commitment and vision for the development of Telangana are worth emulating. Mr Liu said he saw a personal friend in India and loves to travel with him in all his future endeavours. The Foxconn chairman wanted Mr KCR to visit Taiwan and their plants there.

Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) chairman Y Satish Reddy said the personal letter from Young Liu to chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao debunked the rubbish propaganda by the BJP social media that doubted the Foxconn investment in Telangana.

“The Telangana government, particularly the IT minister KTR has been after Foxconn holding talks and convincing them about the industry-friendly atmosphere in Telangana,” he pointed out. Now Mr Liu’s letter settled things.
