Amshala Swamy, one of the many victims of fluorosis and a fighter who dedicated his life to standing with fellow fluoride victims, has passed away.
A resident of Shivannagudem in Marriguda mandal in Nalgonda district, Swamy suffered throughout his life due to fluorosis. When he was a kid, he was laid on the table of the then prime minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee to explain the condition of fluoride victims in the state but to no avail.
It has to be recalled that moved by the plight of Swamy, minister KTR helped him in constructing a house and had lunch with Swamy in his house.
CM KCR and minister KTR has condoled the demise of Swamy. Sharing a photo of having lunch with Swamy, KTR wrote, “My Heartfelt condolences to the family of Sri Amshala Swamy Garu who passed away today. He was a fighter who championed the cause of Fluorosis victims & an inspiration to many. He will always remain close to my heart.”
