‘Employment jatara’ in next financial year, says Etela

The State government is gearing up for ‘employment jatara’ next financial year where it intends to fill all the vacancies in various government departments, said Finance Minister Etela Rajender here on Friday.

The government would adopt the report submitted by Prof. G. Haragopal Committee on syllabus and mode of examination for the Telangana Public Service Commission (TPSC).

Mr. Rajender was here to take part in the LB College annual day celebrations along with Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari. His announcement was received with cheers by students.

Students and jobless youth aspired for employment opportunities in separate Telangana and took part in the agitation. The State government is committed to deliver the promise, he said. Very soon the government will launch the KG to PG free education scheme to all, Mr. Rajender said.

In united Andhra Pradesh, Telangana received just Rs.17,000 crore under plan expenditure but in separate Telangana, the government is able to spend about Rs. 48,000 crore under plan expenditure, he said.

The Minister urged students to work hard, excel in studies and involve themselves in building ‘Golden Telangana’. The State government opines that students are an invaluable asset to the State, Mr. Rajender said.

Mr. Rajender, who is the chairman of Exhibition Society, that runs a total of 18 college, including LB College, said the measures to revise the wages of lecturers working under the society and filling up vacant posts will be taken. Similarly infrastructure will also be improved, he said.

Cllege government body chairman M. Vjayender Reddy, vice-chairman Mohammed Sirajul Hussain, secretary B. Srinivasa Rao, principal P. Rama Devi, Hyderabad west zone Additional DCP K R Nagaraju, cultural convener Mary Michael, sports convener B. Prabhakar and others were present.
