Educational Institutions to reopen from Sept 1st in Telangana

Telangana Government has decided to reopen all educational institutions in the state from 1st of September. The decision was taken at a high level review meeting chaired by CM KCR.

Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy, Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao and senior officials from concerned departments attended the review meeting.

CM instructed the officials of Panchayat Raj and Municipal Administration departments to ensure that the premises of all the educational institutions are cleaned and sanitized by the 30th of August.

Addressing the meeting, CM stated that the ongoing Covid pandemic has severely impacted the education sector.  He said that both the parents and teachers are now in a dilemma about the future. CM assured that all possible precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of both teachers and students. He said that the decision to reopen educational institutions was taken after carefully evaluating the situation in the state and also taking the opinions of all concerned.

CM instructed officials to carefully monitor the health of the students and also ensure Covid appropriate measures like sanitization and wearing of masks are adhered to.
