Resigned Deputy Superintendent of Police, D. Nalini, will start an indefinite fast from tomorrow at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. Her fast coincides with the second anniversary of the Union Home Minister, P. Chidambaram’s statement announcing the creation of Telangana state.
Nalini, who had resigned from her DSP post in 2009 December, during KCR’s indefinite fast. She has joined the service back after the Dec 9th statehood declaration. But, vexed with the dilly-dallying of the Union government, Nalini has submitted her resignation once again in November this year.
After submitting her resignation, Nalini had conducted a Amaraveerula Kutuba Sabhyula Yatra through out the Telangana region in November.
On the occasion of second anniversary of P. Chidambaram’s historic statement, Nalini has decided to sit on a indefinite hunger fast from tomorrow at Jantar Mantar.
Her fast is being supported by Telangana Joint Action Committee, Telangana Praja Front, Vimalakka, Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Telangana Lawyers JAC and several other organizations.
