Prime Minister Mr Modi’s derision of Telangana state and BRS government which is recognised as the most progressive state only exposed the double-face of Mr Modi, said Health Minister T Harish Rao. The state was adjudged as best in several sectors and secured many awards from the Central government agencies. This goes on to prove the efficiency and good governance in the state.
However, just for gaining political mileage, Mr Modi stooped to all low hurling abuses at the BRS government and accused it of corruption and dynasty rule. But Modi should know how his cabinet colleagues are perpetuating the dynasty rule within their respective states, he said.
It was Mr Modi who stopped the funds that are genuinely the share of Telangana state. His government denied Rs. 1 lakh crore due to the state. He also stopped Rs. 24,000 crore recommended by the Niti Ayog and stopped Rs 21 crore for objecting to fixing metres to agricultural motors and Rs. 5,374 crore under Finance Commission.
Mr Harish Rao said people of Telangana are aware that Mr Modi is trying to tarnish the image of Mr KCR and his government. If Modi is committed to the welfare of the people and treating the states as equal, he should ensure setting up the Tribal University immediately. “If ED, CBI and IT are with BJP, the people of Telangana are with the BRS party,” Mr Harish Rao pointed out.
The minister gave away podu land pattas to 610 tribal farmers distributing 520 acres of land in the Medak district at a function on Saturday.
