Following the instructions of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the health department had taken up a door-to-door survey enumerating fever cases and educating people about precautionary measures.
The teams comprising personnel are drawn from medical & health, Panchayat Raj, and municipal departments were deployed for the purpose.
On the first day, a total of 16,807 teams undertook the survey and visited a total of 6,10,919 households. They distributed 18,411 home isolation kits comprising medicines and educated those who are not found to be having fever or any symptoms about the precautionary measures to be taken.
The personnel will identify those suffering from fever, cough, and cold distribute the medicines and ask them to be in-home isolation till the symptoms vanish.
Health minister T Harish Rao the decision to undertake the survey was aimed at curbing the Corona menace at the primary level and helping people to be cautious.
