State minister for Infrastructure and Investment, and Nalgonda MLA, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy demanded the Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi to initiate Telangana statehood process immediately. Komatireddy, who had resigned from his ministership and his MLA post yesterday, was speaking at the mammoth “Udyama Garjana” meeting organized at Nalgonda today.
Venkat Reddy, who had earlier set a deadline of Sep 30th has stuck to his promise and has summarily resigned from his posts and took a direct plunge into the Telangana movement. Along with Komatireddy, Nakirekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingayya had also submitted his resignation.
Speaking at the meeting, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has severely criticized the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for conspiring to sabotage the Telangana movement.
He said the despite 6 decades of struggle, the centre and Seemandhra leaders have failed to address the genuine concerns of Telangana people. He warned that the patience of Telangana people is fast running out. He also hinted at a “Million March” to Hyderabad if the centre delayed this issue further. Komatireddy assured the striking employees that they have his full support.
Bhongir MP Konatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, and resigned Telangana minister Jupalli Krishna Rao also spoke at the meeting.
