Decision within a month: Shinde

After failing to act on the Telangana statehood issue for several years, Congress party has set a fresh deadline of one month to decide its stand. Addressing a press conference after the all-party meeting, Shinde said “I appeal the youth of Andhra Pradesh to maintain peace. The government will take a decision on this and whatever will happen will be good”

All the parties which participated in the meeting blamed Congress party for the delay in granting Telangana. Both TDP and YSRCP continued their opaque stand on the statehood issue. While TDP reiterated that it is committed to a 2008 letter it gave to the Pranab Mukherjee Committee, YSRCP has just said they respect the “Telangana sentiment”

TRS, CPI and BJP have extended their full support to Telangana statehood. CPM and MIM preferred a united AP.

TRS chief KCR has expressed his unhappiness over the continued delay in taking necessary steps to initiate Telangana formation. He called for a Telangana Bandh tomorrow.
