The prestigious dalitha bandhu scheme is neither meant for elections or hoodwinked people, said chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao.
It was aimed at giving equal opportunities to over 70 lakh dalith families in the state in a phased manner. It is not doling away money too.
Chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao said it was a well thought out programme aimed at empowering dalith families. It’s not just washing hands after giving benefits.
A dalitha rakshana nidhi is being set up in case a beneficiary unfortunately dies, his family will get the benefit again.
The officials will continue to monitor how the amount of Rs 10 lakh is being utilised by the beneficiary. They will continue to guide them.
Mr KCR said there are no restrictions whatsoever. If two or more beneficiaries come together to set up a big enterprise, they can do so.
The ultimate aim of the scheme is to see that every dalith family should double their income.
The chief minister Mr KCR said this is not a joke and we demand that this scheme should be implemented all over the country.
The past regimes did no good to dalits except using them as vote banks.
The TRS is committed to the development of every community with out any discrimination be it Brahmins, Yadav, fishermen whatever.
The chief minister Mr KCR spoke extensively about the scheme on several fora and recently at the party plenary explaining in detai.
