Country is endowed with resources but leaders lack commitment: KTR

The IT minister Mr KTR said the governments in the country always focussed on winning elections but not the development and welfare of people. He was speaking conference on `Decoding the Economic Future: Hyderabad catalyst for 5T economy’ a the 25th annual conference of NHRD.

The minister pointed out that though the country has 60 percent of the young population, it is lagging behind the smaller nations like Singapore, Japan, and China. It was unable to tap the talent of youngsters. The leaders lacked vision and commitment.

Telangana, a young state, stands as a model for the country now. The capital city Hyderabad houses the second biggest campuses of all major IT giants. It had rolled out industry-friendly TSiPASS and took many initiatives in attracting IT companies to the state.

Telangana state contributes five percent of the GDP. It had adopted the 3I – Innovation, Infrastructure, and Inclusive growth slogan and acted accordingly. It was the only state to ensure tap water to every household in the state. It is proud to say the state had constructed the stupendous Kaleshwaram project in a record four years of time, he said.

Mr KTR said the state government is according top priority to talent and T Hub encouraging the younger entrepreneurs and their innovations. He further pointed out that Telangana successfully handled the Covid pandemic and was able to export the vaccine to other places.

Now the health sector in the state is transforming phenomenally establishing medical colleges and constructing new super specialty hospitals all over the state.
