Corning, one of the world’s leaders in material sciences has decided to invest in Telangana. The company will setup a manufacturing plant with an investment of Rs. 934 crores to make Gorilla Glass for smartphones for the first time in India.
Industries Minister KT Rama Rao met with John Bayne, Senior VP of Corning, Ravikumar, Global Operations Executive, and Sarah Cartmell, Director, Govt Affairs.
The investment is expected to generate employment opportunites for 800 people. The announcement marks a strategic investment in manufacturing for smartphones and other electronic devices.
