CM Revanth Reddy fumbles while KTR steals the show in Telangana Assembly

The Telangana Legislative Assembly, which convened on Saturday to discuss the thanksgiving motion on the Governor’s address, witnessed an interesting debate. The session found the ruling Congress party in complete defense mode due to the salvos fired by BRS legislators KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao.

With the preparedness of the BRS, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was caught unawares and became completely clueless. The BRS duo roasted the CM and the ministers with their in-depth subject knowledge, impressive oratory skills, and witty remarks. Despite the Congress party trying its best to bulldoze the opposition, the BRS party ensured that all the punches landed right on the face of the ruling party.

While KTR’s speech was filled with facts and figures debunking the malicious propaganda on the previous government made by the current regime, CM Revanth’s performance was lackluster, and he was totally outwitted. KTR’s constant jibes such as ‘Gumpu Mesthri’ and ‘Payment Quota’ aimed at Revanth left the house in splits. Although the ministers tried hard to dodge KTR during his speech, the BRS MLA showed unflinching determination and didn’t yield to the ruling party.

To make things worse for the Congress, Revanth’s maiden speech in the house as the CM was full of gaffes. Much to Revanth’s embarrassment, his bloopers became troll material on social media platforms. To quote a few, CM Revanth said that NRI means Non-Reliable Indian, mentioned the former Governor’s name as Ranjarajan instead of Narasimhan, and clearly got confused between Rythu Bima and crop insurance.

Additionally, Revanth misled the house on certain issues, such as the BRS Government’s support to Telangana martyrs. The CM blatantly lied that the previous government didn’t help martyrs like Constable Kistaiah and others, but the reality is otherwise. The BRS Government extended all possible assistance to martyrs in the form of government jobs, land, financial aid, etc.

Observing the proceedings in the Assembly, the public wondered whether the Congress is in ruling or still sitting in the opposition. While CM Revanth Reddy fumbled in the house, former minister and MLA KTR completely stole the show.
