Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would soon launch the programme of providing one lakh rupees aid to the people from the BC community who are practicing traditional occupations. This would provide much relief to the BC artisans and craftsmen.
Following the instructions of CM KCR, BC welfare minister G Kamalakar and officials came up with the procedures. All the artisans between 18 and 55 years age group with an annual income of Rs. 1.5 lakh in rural and Rs. 2 lakh in urban areas are eligible. The artisans should apply online with the details of their Aadhar card, ration card, bank passbook, caste and income certificate before June 20.
After the field study by the officials and on the recommendation of the local minister or elected public representative, the distribution of benefits will begin on June 27. The beneficiary list will be displayed online. This one-time help was aimed at strengthening the BC artisans.
