The Chief Minister Mr KCR sought to know from the centre whether it would buy paddy from Telangana farmers. He wanted to know if the centre lifts the pending paddy and asks the farmers to opt for paddy again this summer.
The local BJP leaders are asking farmers to cultivate paddy but the centre has said it will not buy paddy anymore in summer.
The TRS party is committed to protect the interests of farmers and if need be it would lead the struggle at national level, the chief Minister said.
Scores of party workers and elected public representatives took part in a massive dhana held near Indira Park here.
Mr KCR asked the central government to come out clearly on paddy procurement and advise the farmers properly.
The Chief Minister and a group of leaders left for Raj Bhavan to submit a memorandum to the governor highlighting the plight of farmers in Telangana state.
