Mr KCR wanted the educational institutions to conduct essay writing, elocution, and other cultural programmes to perpetuate the memorial freedom struggle and history of the country among the children.
They should be reminded of secular and democratic values and how to preserve and perpetuate them to posterior generations. They should be taught about the freedom fighters who gave up their life for the Indian freedom movement.
All the government offices should hoist the national flag on office buildings and conduct cultural and other patriotic programmes commemorating the occasion.
The Chief Minister has asked all the public representatives and officials to have photographs of the national flag on their letter pads.
He instructed the Municipal, Panchayat Raj, and Education departments to come up with programmes for the two-week-long celebrations of the Indian freedom movement.
Chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao also instructed the print media managements to print national flag photograph on front pages and electronic media too to have the national flag visible on screen round the clock during the celebrations.
