Several Chinese companies are interested in investing in Telangana following the new act, TS-iPASS, made by the State Government, Counsellor (Trade, Commerce & Economic) in the Indian Embassy at Beijing in China Namgya C. Khampa told Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao here on Tuesday.
Along with External Affairs official Gaurav Shreshtha, Ms. Khampa called on the Chief Minister at the latter’s camp office and stated that several companies in China had studied the Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System (TS-iPASS) Act made to attract investments into the State and had expressed positive opinion about it.
Ms. Khampa further told Mr. Chandrashekar Rao that several Chinese companies had also studies about the prospects of investing in Telangana and were interested in going ahead. She hoped that several Chinese firms would come forward to start their operations here.
The Chief Minister said on the occasion that he had met several Chinese investors during his visit to China in September and many of them had expressed intent in investing in Telangana and some of them had already visited Hyderabad to have a first hand knowledge about the investment opportunities here. He explained to the Counsellor how the State Government is trying to improve the infrastructure facilities further.
