As expected, CBI has arrested state minister Mopidevi Venkataramana in the YS Jagan disproportionate assets case. He was interrogated for 7 hours yesterday. He was summoned for interrogation today morning and was informed about his arrest. This is the first time that a state minister was arrested in the history of Andhra Pradesh.
Cases were filed under sections 120(b), 420 and 477(a), 409 of the IPC and a case was also filed under 13(1)d and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption act.
