Senior BRS MLA and former Minister Harish Rao affirmed that the BRS Party will never compromise on the rights of Telangana. Speaking in the Assembly, Harish Rao reminded that the Congress was tight-lipped on the injustice meted out to Telangana in irrigation projects, and it was the BRS that waged a fierce battle.
The former minister said that the BRS MLAs stalled the then Andhra Pradesh Assembly for over 40 days on the issue of Pothireddypadu. Responding to allegations that the BRS was favoring the construction of the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme, he said that the previous BRS government successfully moved the National Green Tribunal to stay the project.
Harish Rao said that at any cost, the BRS Party will not let the rights of Telangana get damaged.
