Leaders of the ruling BRS party are working round the clock leaving no stone unturned for the proposed public meeting to be held on January 18 at Khammam.
BRS senior leader and finance minister Mr T Harish Rao and a host of other leaders are camping at Khammam for the past few days overseeing the arrangements to make it a grand success. The ministers were engaged in organising local meetings urging people to attend in large numbers.
People from neighbouring states like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra are also likely to turn up for the BRS public meeting. This is the first public meeting after the announcement of the national party by CM KCR.
The huge public meeting would be attended by chief ministers of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and former CM of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav and others from different parts of the country.
It would send a signal about the unity of various political parties. Mr KCR is likely to spell out the party agenda. Since the announcement of the BRS, a national political party aimed at taking the BJP head on, there is a new kind of hope among the political leaders across the country and an euphoria among the people attracted by KCR’s policies such as free power for farmers, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Beema, water for irrigation among others.
There has been demand from a BJP MLA in Karnataka to implement the schemes of Telangana or merge his constituency with Telangana state. There were similar demands in villages of Maharashtra as well that speak volumes about the popularity of BRS and KCR.
