The list of candidates released by the BRS party for the ensuing Assembly elections contains more young and experienced people. Of the 119, as many as 68 candidates (57 per cent) are below the age of 55 years. In the political field, generally, those in the age group of 18 to 50 -55 are considered young.
Thus in its list, the party infused more young blood this time again.
Bade Nagajyothis, Lasya Nanditha, Bhukya Johnson Rathod, KTR and Harish Rao are young candidates among many in the party contesting the elections this time. With regard to experience, Speaker Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy and Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav are contesting the assembly for the sixth time now.
Mr KCR and Errabelli Dayakar Rao who won about six times hold the record of being elected in two constituencies wherever they contested. There were others who completed five terms as members of the state Assembly.
Mr KTR and Bajireddy Govardhan have been successful in three constituencies a unique record they are holding. Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Redya Naik of Dornakal if successful this term, will be holding a record of being the MLA for the seventh time. Thus the BRS party-list has both young and greatly experienced members contesting the elections this time.
