In a revelation that could deeply embarrass the Chandra Babu Naidu government in AP, leading whistleblower organization WikiLeaks revealed that AP Government is negotiating with vendors in USA, to purchase phone tapping equipment.
And ironically this was happening even as AP government was making a hue and cry that Telangana government was tapping the phones of its leaders.
WikiLeaks stunning revelation adds a new twist to the murky Cash-for-Votes scam in which TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was caught red-handed, offering a bribe to nominated MLC Stephenson.

A series of emails between a Hyderabad based consulting company Ortus Consulting and Hacking Team, a US based surveillance company, have come out in the latest tranche of emails leaked by WikiLeaks. These emails reveal conversation between the Ortus representative Prabhakar Kasu and Daniel from Hacking Team.
The emails clearly mention that the AP Police Intelligence wing was the ‘client’ who was trying to procure the ‘Cellular interception hardware solutions’.
The approximate price quoted by Hacking Team representative for this equipment is between USD 1 to USD 1.2 Million.
This latest episode only proves what kind of a dubious leader Chandra Babu Naidu is. He was going around the town with false allegations of phone-tapping against Telangana government, and his government was trying to buy phone tapping equipment at the same time.
