In a record of sorts, as many as 4,251 blankets worth Rs. 25 lakh were distributed among inmates of tribal hostels and Ashram schools in the five mandals of Sirpur Assembly constituency of Adilabad district on Tuesday. It is also being considered to be a record that Sirpur MLA Koneru Konappa personally distributed the blankets continuously starting at midnight and ending in the afternoon. The funds for the blankets were pooled in by Ministers T. Harish Rao, K.T. Rama Rao, A. Indrakaran Reddy and Jogu Ramanna besides Mr. Konappa and other TRS leaders.
