Telangana state agriculture minister Mr S Niranjan Reddy said keeping in view the elections in five states, the BJP government at the centre withdrew its draconian farm laws.

Lauding the indomitable spirit of farmers who waged a virtual war against the Central laws for 15 months, he said since the beginning the TRS and its MPs openly opposed the farm laws brought out by BJP government.
The TRS government has been spending nearly Rs 60,000 crore for farmers every year. The government is spending RS 25,000 crore for irrigation projects and irrigation water supply annually and turned agriculture into a lucrative vocation.
