The day began with a public meeting at Moinabad. BJP Leaders Bandaru Dattateya and Baddam BalReddy were present at the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Kishan Reddy recounted how Sushma Swaraj has raised the Telangana issue for the first time in the Parliament. When she spoke on Telangana, neither Sonia nor Manmohan Singh has shown any sympathy towards this cause in the Parliament, he said. He said that Sonia does not have any affection or emotional attachment towards the cause of Telangana. What all she is interested in making Rahul the PM and nothing else. Kishan Reddy also said that Chandrababu naidu has totally shifted his stand on Telangana after the December 9, 2009 statement. His shift has made Central Government to go back on Telangana.
Later in the day, Kishan Reddy addressed a huge gathering at Shamshabad. JAC Gazetted employees leader Srinivas Goud attended the meeting and has extended the solidarity of government employees to the yatra.
Speaking at the Shashabad meeting, Kishan Reddy said that over 750 students committed suicide till now and we should ensure that they should stop immediately. He said that BJP has tried to introduce the Telangana bill in Parliament thrice and the Speaker did not allow the bill to be placed in Parliament. It is a shame on the part of the Congress to drag on the issue, he said.
The yatra proceeded to Maheswaram where an impressive meeting was held. Kishan Reddy said that BJP will not tolerate if Government continues to harass the employees and students who have participated in the sakala janula samme.
Later during the day, Kishan Reddy addressed meetings at Kandukur, Yacharam and Ibrahimpatnam.
