The Telangana Poru Yatra by BJP state president G Kishan Reddy was flagged off by the party’s national president Nitin Gadkari in Makthal village situated in Mahabubnagar district today.
Speaking at a mammoth meeting organized at Makthal, Gadkari said that both Sonia and Manmohan have betrayed the people of Telangana. He said that NDA would declare Telangana as soon as they are voted to power.
Gadkari recalled how he saw only parched lands all through his journey from Hyderabad to Makthal. “Even though river Krishna flows through this district, it is sad that this region has no irrigation facilities. You problems would be solved in a separate state”. He said.
Speaking at the meeting Telangana JAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram has compared the recent Yatras of Chandra Babu Naidu and YS Jagan. “They need thousands of police to tour Telangana, where as Kishan Reddy needs only 10 policeman. Why do those leaders need so much security if they are not against Telangana?” he questioned.
Resigned TDP MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy said that he would extend his whole hearted support to BJP’s Poru Yatra. Senior BJP leaders Bandaru Dattatrya, Dr. Lakshman, MRPS leader Manda Krishna, MLC Dileep Kumar were among the other leaders who attended the inaugural meeting.
