Leaders, who recently joined the BJP, are making a beeline to join back the TRS. Citing all is not well in the Telangana BJP, some of the prominent faces during the Telangana movement time are back to the TRS party’s fold.
Dasoju Sravan, who worked along with CM KCR during the Telangana agitation, had recently joined the BJP. Giving a jolt to the BJP, Sravan submitted his resignation saying that though the BJP promised alternative politics it was resorting to disgusting politics and it is heading nowhere.
Expressing his disappointment in the way the BJP is fighting the Munugode bypoll, Sravan said as a protest against BJP’s lust for power, he is resigning from the primary membership of the party.
Telangana State Legislative Council former chairman Swamy Goud has followed the same suit. He said that the BJP has failed in recognising and honouring the aspirations of the Telangana people. Goud bid adieu to the BJP alleging that the party is giving preference only to the wealthy lot and contractors.
Both these leaders from the backward classes played a good part in the Telangana struggle and were once in the ruling TRS. And, now both of them are back home.
Also, speculations are rife that two more former public representatives from the TRS who switched their sides with the BJP may come back to the TRS soon. All these political developments are giving a clear indication of where the wind is blowing in Telangana.
