The local BJP leaders have turned into unscrupulous elements and its national leaders proved more treacherous. Not a single promise was kept up including the railway coach factory at Kazipet. Not a single institution was sanctioned to Telangana. The BJP views Telangana as its enemy but craves for power in the state., minister KTR Rama Rao went all guns blazing on the BJP at a public meeting at Shodashapalli in Station Ghanpur constituency.
KTR spoke after laying the foundation for three lift irrigation projects with an estimate of Rs. 104 crores envisaged to provide irrigation and drinking water to villages on higher altitude areas in Jangaon and Station Ghanpur constituencies. He also promised to upgrade Station Ghanpur into a municipality and also laid the foundation for some important link roads during his visit on Monday.

Referring to the untimely death of medical student Preethi, Mr Rama Rao said the state government would take action against the guilty whoever it may be. Referring to the criticism by Congress and BJP, he said the BRS would not be coerced by the false cases.
“A Congress leader is going round here in this district asking for one chance to rule the state. The people of the country gave 10 chances and his party ruled for five decades. Did they ever think of free power and financial assistance to farmers?” he sought to know.
Regarding BJP, the BRS leader said Mr Modi was highly concerned about the welfare of his friend Mr Adani and not the people. Enrich his corporate friends and in turn, get funding for the party. Using the same money, they plan to topple the democratically elected governments in states. Else, it would unleash the agencies such as IT, ED, and CBI against opposition leaders implicating them in false cases, he said.
“The BRS leaders have faced many cases and went to jail during the Telangana movement. We are not cowards and do not fear cases,” Mr Rama Rao said.
