Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy said the Central government led by BJP deceived the farmers by suddenly announcing that it will not buy boiled rice from this year.
This reveals the fact that the central minister Mr Piyush Goyal and the BJP leaders lacked basic knowledge that since 2014 the FCI has been procuring boiled rice from Telangana farmers, he added.
Urging the farmers to opt for non paddy crops. Mr Niranjan Reddy said the CM Mr KCR has assured to continue his support to farmers and they need not panic. The farmers should opt for commercial crops like oil seeds and horticulture crops. The state government official would provide guidance and necessary material to farmers. The minister asked the farmers not to be misled by BJP leaders and their false promises.
