The Bihar chief minister Mr Nitish Kumar gave a death blow to the BJP and surprised it by tendering his resignation and severing ties with it.
He later claimed to form the government with the help of old allies RJD, Congress and others.
The BJP which has been hatching conspiracies and dismantling the democratically elected governments in eight states was trying to topple Mr Nitish Kumar government as well. Sensing the trouble, he gave a reverse punch to the BJP top brass.
The BJP had been encouraging one RP Singh, an RJD leader, and tried to create another Eknath Shinde in Bihar. However, it failed in its plan and Mr Nitish Kumar smelled it much ahead.
He met the governor and submitted his resignation. He later claimed that he would form the government with the support of 164 MLAs – RJD has 80 MLAs, JDU has 45 MLAs, Congress 19, and others who make up the total 164 MLAs.
Responding to the developments in Bihar, Telangana IT minister and TRS party working president Mr K T Rama Rao said; “After parties are leaving the NDA one by one, who is left? ED, CBI, and IT? Excluding them?,” he said in sarcasm.
