The two day event aptly titled AugustFest, provided timely boost to the startup ecosystem in Hyderabad.
An interesting line-up of celebrity speakers added the, starting from serial entrepreneur and Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy to Rajiv Chilaka, the creator of Chota Bheem comic. Among other noted speakers were music director Ramana Gogula, Dancer Ananda Shankar, and Art Director Sukrant Panigrahi.
Over 1500 entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts attended the event. On the sidelines of the event was an exhibition showcasing local startups.
The IT Secretary of Telangana state Harpreet Singh delivered the inaugural address, where he outlined the state government’s initiatives to make Hyderabad as the startup capital of the country. He explained about the upcoming T-Hub, India’s largest incubator, that is being promoted by the state government.
On day two, Lok Sabha MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy spoke about his experiences as a serial entrepreneur. He expressed happiness at the growing interest in entrepreneurship and outlined the importance of startups in the overall growth of economy.
