All set for the ‘Chalo Nalgonda’ public meeting today, to be addressed by BRS President KCR. BRS Party public representatives and leaders have boarded a bus from Telangana Bhavan to reach the meeting venue.
BRS has taken the war path against the Congress government to safeguard the rights of Telangana in Krishna river waters. At the meeting, the BRS chief is expected to highlight how the Congress party is acting against the interests of Telangana.
The meeting gained prominence as the Congress government was contemplating handing over the Krishna basin projects to the Union government’s Krishna River Management Board (KRMB). However, pressured by the public meeting call given by KCR, the Congress government has passed a resolution in the Telangana Assembly against transferring control of Krishna projects to the KRMB.
