About one lakh more to get IT jobs, Minister Mr KTR

 

 

 

The State government was trying to develop new IT corridors on all four corners of the capital city Hyderabad, said IT minister Mr K T Rama Rao.

Laying the foundation stone for the newly coming up Genpact expansion works at Uppal, he said about 15,000 employees can work in 20 lakh square feet office space being developed there. As per the GRID (Growth in Dispersion) policy, they were trying to promote IT companies in Uppal and Habsiguda areas. Once complete the Genpact office space could enable about one lakh employees’ work from there.

Mr Rama Rao said on par with the IT growth in the Western part of the city, they were promoting the companies to set up their offices on the Eastern side as well. The state government was offering incentives for the purpose of the developers preferring Eastern side locations.

With a view to developing the Eastern side of the city, the state government had developed Shilparamam at Nagole and there was also the international cricket stadium as well.

The works for the skywalk at Uppal junction to Narapalli were underway, he said thanking the developers for coming forward to take part in developing in the eastern side of the city.

He also thanked the Genpact officials for expanding their operations in Warangal city.

Labour minister Ch Malla Reddy, MLA B Sudhash Reddy, Genpact officials Vidya, Satish and CEO Gautham Redy, IT principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Rachakonda CP Mahesh Bhagawath, and others were present.
